Accident near Hotel City Light on NH-66 Bhatkal;1 killed, 2 injured

 13th May 13 / Rizwan Gangavaly / Bhatkallys News Bhatkal - An elderly man has been killed and a woman along with a child has been injured in a road accident that occurred today at around 6:30pm on NH-66 Bhatkal near Hotel City Light. The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Jafar Siddibapa (60), a resident of Makhdoom colony behind Shareef Masjid. Injured woman, wife of the killed elderly man has been identified as Khurshidah (50) and the child has been identified as Khair (4), their grand-daughter. According to sources, the elderly man was trying to enter the National Highway from the cross near Hotel City Light. When he reached the circle, a Mahindra Jeep travelling towards Shirali rammed into him with great speed. As a result, he got seriously injured. He was rushed to the Government Hospital in Bhatkal but he passed away when he reached the hospital. Injured woman and her grand-daughter were given crucial first-aid treatment at Government Hospital and then sent to Mangalore and the corpse has been sent to morgue for post-mortem. This case has been registered at Bhatkal Town Police Station.
