ACB raid on four Karnataka officers

Officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) raided offices and residences of four senior government officials in and around the city on Wednesday morning and unearthed assets disproportionate to their known sources of income. The officials whose houses and offices were raided at 6 a.m. are Additional Commissioner of BBMP East zone K.C. Yatish Kumar, tahsildar of Ramanagaram N. Raghpathy, Director of KPTCL H. Nagesh, and Superintendent of the Directorate of Technical Education Ramakrishna Reddy. According to officials, as many as 11 teams formed months ago were gathering information on the officials before the raids were conducted. Though several crore worth movable and immovable properties were detected, ACB officials are verifying the documents to ascertain the source of income of the officials. The ACB teams also searched the houses of their relatives. All the raids were conducted almost simultaneously.
