AC hold special meeting with officials ahead of 'Maari Habba' in Bhatkal

Bhatkallys News/ Rizwan Gangavali: Bhatkal, 24 Jul 2016: Bhatkal Assistant commissioner, Chadanand Vathare, called a meeting of officials and members of other local bodies, and briefed regarding precautions that are to be taken to maintain law and order in view of ‘Maari Habba’, a Hindu festival which is to be celebrated by the Hindus of town on 27^th and 28^th of July 2016. He said, People in Bhatkal celebrate this festival with a lot of spirit and thousands of people gather in to be part of the celebration that lasts two days, and Maintaining Law and order will be a big factor for the officials. Additional SP Devraj assured that all the precautionary steps have been taken and all the concerned departments have been handed their part of responsibility to maintain law and order during these two days. Several members of Marikamba temple including Shridhar Naik, Parmeshwar Naik were present at the meeting. A delegation of Majlis-e-Islah Wa Tanzeem was present including, Gen. Secy, Altaaf Kharuri, Vice President, Inaythullah Shabandri, and others. Dr. Syed Saleem, Vice President, TMC Bhatkal, Auto Driver’s union president, Venkatesh Naik, Tahsildar, VN Bathkar, ASP Anoop Shetty, and other social activist were among other present at the Meeting
