ABVP Bhatkal Unit holds protest against Bus staff

Bhatkal - Alleged misbehaviour by the KSRTC bus staff with 2 students of Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) sparked tension here in Bhatkal yesterday.

According to the sources, 2 days back the students in Shirali were waiting for the Honnavar bus which didn't turned up on time. As a result of this an angry students started blocking the other buses but the matter was solved after bus depot manager visited Shirali and arranged 2 buses for Honnavar. But yesterday when a group of ABVP members tried to enter the bus depot for talks with the manger, a fight broke out between the depot guard and the students. The guard allegedly assaulted and injured two students. As a result of this an angry students held protest in-front of AC office and demanded immediate arrest of the guard. They also registered FIR against him. The matter was resolved after the intervention of KSRTC deputy commissioner Mr. M L Venkatesh and the arrest of depot guard.
