Excitement and anticipation is building on Yas Island as an array of elaborately decorated cars descend on Abu Dhabi's entertainment destination in an attempt to break the Guinness World records title for the largest number of decorated cars in one location.
With hundreds of vehicles expected to take part, Emiratis and expatriates from across the country have worked hard to dress-up their vehicles and show their love of the UAE - emphasizing the nationalistic theme of the event - in a bid to impress the judges.
"We are extremely excited about today’s [Sunday’s] iconic event and it's great to see so many people come together celebrating what the UAE means to them - we wish everyone best of luck! Those that didn't get a chance to join us today [on Sunday] will be able to view three of the best decorated cars at the Speed & Power event, just one of the six exciting events happening at The Life & Style Show UAE this coming weekend," said Ashley Roberts, Event Director, dmg events Middle East, organisers of Life & Style Show UAE.
The event hopes to be named the largest parade of decorated cars by Guinness World Records, the event is organized by The Life & Style Show UAE and the Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi).
The Life & Style Show UAE takes place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (Adnec) from December 5-7, 2013 and is expected to attract tens of thousands of visitors. The show comprises six events - Home & Living, Fashion & Beauty, Gizmos, Gadgets & Tech, Sport & Leisure, Toys, Hobbies & Games and Speed & Power as well as over 20 fantastic free feature areas.
