Abdulla Rafiq enthrals Bhatkalis in Muscat

Muscat - 10 May 2011: Popular Naiti poet Abdulla Rafiq, who is on a personal visit to Oman, enthralled a select crowd at a mushaira held at Shama residence in Ruwi last Thursday.

Abdulla Rafiq was at his best as he rendered some of his well-known poetrywhich was well acknowledged by the crowd. Sada Mohammed Salim introduced Abdulla Rafiq while Abdul Wahab Ekkeri compered. Some local talents also declaimed poetry in between. Aftab Kola and Merchant Qamar were present on the dais. The event was held from 11:00 pm to 1:00 am and refreshments were served at the end.
