Dubai - BMJ Dubai hosted its annual general meeting at the Twin Towers in Deira to brief its members. Sadiq Mulla recited verses from the Holy Quran to mark the start of the event as Afrika Irshad welcomed the guests.


BMJD General secretary, Rahmatullah Rahi presented the annual report of BMJ Dubai as S.M Syed Raees presented the accounts and budget.

The SAIF investment scheme, an investment project of BMJ Dubai, was also discussed at the jalsa as Fazal Jukaku presented the investemt report. Fazal emphasised that efforts were being made on saving and recovery of the invested amounts.

Shahryar Khateeb presented the election report as the new office bearers took charge and expressed their views.

S.M. Syed Khaleel in his speech breifed the audience on the Bhatkal delegation's official visit to New Delhi to meet the Home Minister and other senior government officials. He requested the audience to come forward and register complaints with BMJD or Tanzeem, regarding any harassement from immigration, customs and passport department.

Tanzeem can send these complaint collectively to home ministry. He also advice to Tanzeem to form a committee to go through all these procedures and coordinate with various departemnts.

Yaseen Askeri,from Jedaah, also expressed his views as he lauded the efforts of the association. He also advised members to perform Umerah and Haj as early as possible, since procedures will be tougher and more difficult in future.

Abdurrahim Jukaku, General Secretary, Anjuman thanked BMJD for their central role in suporting Anjuman. He said 70 per cent of the finance for Anjuman is rasied by BMJD.

A special Q&A session was hosted to answer the queries of memebers as the function compeered by Hashim Moulana concluded with dua and dinner.
