A person dies after falling off from betel-nut (supari) tree

  Bhatkal ( Bhatkallys News): In Matudkiri village, an area that falls under the limits of Marukere Panchayat, a person died after falling from betel-nut (supari) tree. The person has been identified as Rama Gonda (38). According to the information received, at around 8:45 am, Rama Gonda went on to climb a 30-ft betel-nut tree to pluck flowers of betel-nut fruit for the purpose of performing pooja. The stem of the tree broke in between and he felled down owing to which he recieved a head-injury. Rama Gonda was taken to the Government Hospital, but he died till then. Rama Gonda leaves behind a son, a daughter and his widow. The corpse was hand-over to the family after post-martem. This case has been registered under Rural Police Station, Bhatkal.
