A 2-day All India seminar on 'Importance of Media in Islam' underway at Jamia Islamia Bhatkal

Bhatkal - 03 June 2011: A 2-day All India seminar on 'Importance of Media in Islam' is underway at Jamia Islamia Bhatkal which was being inaugurated by Hazrath Moulana Rabey Hasani Nadvi, Vice-president Aalmi Rabita Adab Islami and Admin of famous Islamic seminary, Darul Uloom Nadvatul Ulama, Lucknow.

The first session of the seminar had begun with the Qir'at of Mohammed Hamza Kazi. Moulana Ilyas Nadvi briefly presented the introduction and purpose of hosting this seminar. He also shed light on the significance of media in the society and its effects on our day to day life.

Later, Moulana Wazeh Rasheed Nadvi, General secretary, Subcontinent branch of Rabita Adab Islami, while presenting a detailed report about the activities of the organization said that this is the 29th seminar before this there were 28 such seminars being held at various places on different topics. He said, Aalmi Rabita Adab Islami was founded in the year 1984. When Hazrath Moulana Abul Hasan Ali Nadvi became its president, Lucknow became its Headquarter but after Moulana's death, Shaikh Saleh Abdul Quddus became its president and headquarter was shifted to Riyadh. Its branches are spread over gulf and Asian countries. He added.

In his presidential address, Hazrat Moulana Rabey Sahab said the success of Jews in all fields is due to their absolute control over World media. He explained the significance of media by quoting several references from Quran and Hadith.

The inaugural session was concluded at 12:00 noon. Moulana Nazrul Hafeez Sahab compered the program.

After little break, first session of seminar had begun which was presided over by Moulana Sayeedul Rahman Azmi Nadvi. In this session the first seminar was presented by Mr Abdubaker Rahbar (Aurangabad) on the topic "Media and Human values". Moulana Sanaullah Sahab Qasmi (Presenter ETV Urdu) presented his seminar on the topic "Prospects of Modern Media". Later, Moulana Mufti Ahmed Gujrati presented his seminar.

In his presidential address Moulana Sayeedur Rahman Azmi said, today entire media is controlled by West and because of this they are successfully propagating false propaganda about Islam, so this is the high time, we should enter media and compete with the West.

On this occasion several prominent personalities including President Jamia Dr Ali Malpa, Nazim Jamia Master Shafi Patel, Moulana Abdullah Hasani Nadvi, Moulana Iqbal Mulla Nadvi, Mr Syed Hasan Barmawar, Moulana Abdul Aleem Qasmi, Mr Abdul Rahman Motesham and Mr Syed Khalid S J were present on the dais.

The second session of seminar had begun under the leadership of Moulana Mullah Mohammed Iqbal Nadvi after Maghrib namaz wherein 10 seminars were presented. This session was compered by Dr Abdul Hameed Athar Nadvi which concluded at 9:30 pm.
