70th Republic day celebrated with fervor in Bhatkal

Bhatkal 26 January 2019: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Government departments, Educational institutions and social organisations of Bhatkal celebrated the Indian Republic day with great fervor and patriotism, on January 26, 2019 to mark the 70th anniversary of the country's constitution coming into force. Photos: Schools, government departments and colleges celebrate 70th Independence day in Bhatkal Flags were unfurled at the offices and campuses of various educational institutions and social organisations along with government departments wherein locals participated with great enthusiasm and fervor. After the ceremonies at schools and various government departments, the Taluka administration had organised a official flag hoisting ceremony at Bhatkal Taluka Stadium (YMSA ground) here at Nawayath colony wherein students from various schools performed Republic day march parade, in front of a huge crowd, led by parade commander, Murdeshwar PSI Basavaraj, received by the Bhatkal Assistant Commissioner Sajid Ahmed Mulla. Beena Vaidya girls school Murdeshwar stood first place in the march parade competition followed by Shams English Medium High School and Islamia Anglo Urdu High School (IAUHS) at second and third place respectively. The march parade was followed by cultural programs and skids performed by the students of various schools of Bhatkal Taluka. READ ALSO: ? He also stressed that the youth should come forward and take the country on the path of development adding that the platform is set for them as India is already the fastest growing economy of the world. Bhatkal-Honnavar MLA Sunil Naik presided over the ceremony and during his presidential address stressed upon maintaining unity among people from different caste, religion, community and added that it has for over centuries beautified the image of India in the world. Several individuals were also felicitated for their services, achievements and for representing schools and colleges of Bhatkal at various state and national level competitions.
