70th Independence day celebrated with Patriotic fervor in Bhatkal

The 70th Independence day was celebrated with patriotic fervor here in Bhatkal on Monday 15th August 2016, with Educational Institutions including IAUHS, Shams English Medium School, Ali Public School, Jamia Islamia Bhatkal, Anand Ashram Convent School and other local sports club including Lion sports Centre, Shaheen Maghdoom Sport centre, Sultan Sport centre Hoisted the tricolor to mark I-Day. As it clocked 9.00 am people in hundred started moving towards Taluka stadium to witness Independence day Parade. Assistant commissioner, Chadanand Vataare, who was the chief guest for the event hoisted the National Flag, before addressing the people present for the event. Town PSI Ms. Revathi then led the Police team in March Past, followed by NCC students and other students representing their respective educational institutions. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Vataare paid tribute to the freedom fighters and hailed their struggle to throw back British out of the Country to make India an Independent Nation, he also urged people to love the country the way freedom fighters did. MLA Mankal Vaidya, Inayathullah Shabandri, TMC president Manjamma Gowda, Panchayath Officials and other were present. Locals Muslims had gathered in hundreds at the event to display their Patriotic side to the Nation which eventually must have sent clear message to the right wing organizations, who had been questioning Patriotism of Indian Muslims lately.
