7 killed in fiery crash in Ankola

December 01, 2015 | Correspondent | Bhatkallys News Ankola: In a tragic incident, seven passengers travelling in a Maruti Omni car were killed in a fatal crash that took place between their car and a tipper at Belse National Highway in Ankola Tuesday afternoon. The victims were identified as - Aabida Bi, Shahjahan, Hanumanth, Kalema, Hanumantapa, Fakirapa, and Sachin - all of them residents of Haveri. A source informed, that all of them were returning to Haveri after undergoing treatment at a hospital in Halka near Karwar when their car collided head-on with a tipper coming from the opposite direction resulting into this accident. A case has been registered at Ankola police station and the officials are investigating the case. -ARF
