63 year old Odisha man on a 6000 km cycle journey to raise awareness against pollution, reaches Bhatkal

Bhatkal 13 December 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A 63-year-old man from Orissa peddled his cycle for around 3500 km to raise awareness on road safety, Pollution and also with a vision of 'Narcotics free India', and reached Bhatkal on Wednesday, December 12.
Syed Faizan, who claims that he peddled his cycle for about 160-170 km per day reached Bhatkal from Mangaluru on Wednesday. Syed, is an M.com Graduate and has worked as an accountant in a private company of Dubai and post retirement joined Ashook Leyland company as an internal auditor.
To support the cause of Syed, the RTO department of Odisha has undertaken the cost and expenses of Syed's campaign. The trip that aims to cover 10 states to create awareness, reached Bhatkal after passing through Odisha, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu and is now headed towards Goa.
Syed has covered about 3500 km of an estimated 6000 km journey.
While speaking to local media persons here, Syed added "I dreams of an 'Narcotics free India' and that is one of the reason why I embarked on this journey, it is one of the reason, people are spoiling their lives and careers after getting influenced by Narcotics".
He further added, "The main reason of organising this trip was to promote road safety and awareness about the pollution, that is giving birth to many incurable diseases. Lakhs of people die in road accidents, pollution is killing thousands of people annually, so there is need of introspection and to see how we can make this world a better place, for us and other fellow citizens of the planet as well".
