49 candidates file nomination for Jaali patan panchayat elections

April 14, 2016 | Correspondent | Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: 49 candidates have filed nominations for 20 wards of Jaali patan panchayat elections that will be held on April 24, 2016. The last date to file nominations ended on April 13, 2016 while April 15, 2016 is the late date to cancel the nominations. On this occasion, Bhatkal Block Congress Chief Vithal Naik appealed to the public to vote in favour of Congress candidates. Tanzeem General Secretary also requested the public to support Congress and exercise their right vote with due consideration. Counting of votes to will be taken up on April 27, 2016. It may be noted that Jaali panchayat was recently upgraded to patan panchayat from zilla panchayat and this is its first election after the up-gradation. - ARF
