4.7 magnitude quake hits Gujarat

A 4.7 magnitude earthquake hit Amreli, Bhavnagar and Surat districts of Gujarat at around 9.24 a.m. on Sunday Gandhinagar, July 17 (ANI): Tremors of magnitude 4.7 were felt in various parts of South Gujarat on Sunday morning. According to the Met Department, the tremors were felt at 9:24 am. The epicenter of the earthquake was 14 km from Surat city. No damage was reported. “Earthquake of magnitude 4.7 reported near Surat this morning. State government is taking necessary action. No damage reported till now,” tweeted Gujarat chief minister Anandiben Patel. (Bhatkallys News Service)
