45 m wide highway instead of 60 m proposed in Uttar Kannada

Karwar / Bhatkal - 26 Nov 2011: A proposal for 45 meter wide highway instead of 60 meter was submitted to the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) at a meeting of district officials held at Karwar. The meeting was presided over by district in-charge minister, Mr Visveshwar Hegde Kageri. Speaking on the occasion he expressed hope that, highway officials will co-operate with us and try to minimize the damage caused to the people as a result of highway widening project.
