42 TP and 17 ZP candidates are in the fray for Bhatkal Panchayat Polls

Bhatkal - After the last date for withdrawal of nomination papers expired yesterday, only 42 taluka panchayat and 17 zilla panchayat candidates were left in the fray for upcoming ZP and TP polls scheduled to be held on 31st Dec 2010. From Jali ZP constituency, four candidates are contesting including Tanzeem sponsored Abdul Raheem Shaikh. It may be interesting to note that, earlier as many as 22 candidates had filed their nomination papers for Jali ZP seat. The number of candidates contesting for remaining three ZP seats are as follows,

Shirali - 04, Mavalli - 05, Belke - 04,

The number of candidates contesting for 12 TP seats are as follows,

Yelodikour - 03, Marukeri - 03, Jali - 03, Belke - 03, Mundalli - 05, Venkatapur - 04, Bengre - 05, Heble - 03, Kaikini - 03, Bailur - 03, Mavalli - 05, Shirali - 02.
