220 pilgrims to fly in first Hajj flight from Mangalore

Mangalore - As many as 220 pilgrims will be on board this year's first Hajj flight from Mangalore which is expected to leave Bajpe International Airport on Thursday, October 28 official sources said.

Minister for Hajj and Wakf Mumtaz Ali Khan who is already in the city is expected to flag off the first batch of Hajj pilgrims scheduled to take off at 2:10 pm on Thursday, October 28, from the Bajpe airport directly to Jeddah.

The District Wakf Committee Chairman S H Usman has said that, over 500 people have already enlisted their names in the Hajj camp which commenced on October 25 at Old Terminal Building of Mangalore airport.

The Hajj committee has arranged free food and accommodation for Hajj pilgrims at the camp. Dozens of local volunteers are helping the pilgrims at the camp.

The Hajj flights from Mangalore will operate for three consecutive days. A total of 880 pilgrims will be flying from here this year in four separate batches of 220 pilgrims. The flight timings are given below:

First flight: Oct 28, 2:10 pm
Second flight: Oct 29, 7:30 am
Third flight: Oct 29, 11:55 pm
Fourth flight: Oct 30, 9:30 pm
