2165  students from Bhatkal taluka to write SSLC exams

BHATKAL: As many as 2165  students from Bhatkal taluka are expected to write this year’s Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examinations beginning March 30, 2017, said  Venkatesh S. Patgar, Block Education Officer, Bhatkal. Out of 2165, boys constitute 1022 while 1143 girls will be taking the exams this year.  Last year 2265 students wrote the SSLC exams. There are 37 high schools spanned across Bhatkal taluka. Eight centres Bhatkal taluka will have eight  SSLC examination centres. They include: Islamia Anglo Urdu High School, Bhatkal; New English High School, Bhatkal; Anjuman Girls' High School, Bhatkal; Government  High School, Sonarkeri, Bhatkal; Govt High School, Belke; Janata Vidyalaya, Shirali; Janata Vidyalaya, Murudeshwar and National High School, Murudeshwar. Time-table The exams will begin on March 30 with the first language and will end on April 12 with Social Science;  Maths paper will be held on April 3, second language on April 5, Science on April 7, and third language on April 10. 2016 results Bhatkal taluka recorded a pass percentage of 86.49 in 2016 SSLC examinations.
