2,15,440 eligible voters elegible to vote from Bhatkal-Honnavar assembly constituency in April 23 LS polls in Uttara Kannada

Bhatkal 14 April 2019: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) About 2,15,440 people from Bhatkal-Honnavar constituency are eligible to cast their vote in the Upcoming lok sabha election 2019 said a press release from Assistant Commissioner office.
Among them 1,09,741 are male voters while 1,05,699 are female voters. The 86 people of the Taluka are said to be service voters(Soilders).
There are 248 polling booths in the Bhatkal-Honnavar Assembly constituency and of which 71 polling booths are identified as sensitive and 23 polling booths are identified as valnarable. Two special polling booths for women called 'Sakhi Polling Station' have been setup for women, where the ladies staff will facilitate the voters. However, 1 polling booth for PWD and 1 polling booth for model voting has been made. And a total of 1096 people will be operating in 248 polling booths in Bhatkal-Honnavar constituency.
Web casting (Live telecast from polling booth to election commission) will be done in 27 polling booths of the constituency while Micro observer officials will look after 51 polling booths.
5 police check post have been setup here, for conducting inspection and to check over smuggling of any goods. Three video surveillance teams in the Assembly constituency have been appointed, while video wing for observing the election has been setup at control room in Assistant Commissioner’s office.
The release further urged people to report any violation of model code of conduct by a political parties or by candidate through cVIGIL mobile application.
