13,528 students take PUC II exams from Uttara Kannada district, 373 remains absent

Karwar/Bhatkal 2 March 2019:(Bhatkallys News Bureau) About 13,528 students from Uttara Kannada district on Friday appeared for PUC II exam at 30 different examination centers across the district while 373 students remained absent.
According to the reports, in Uttara Kannada district about 9,766 appeared for Economics paper while 330 students remained absent and 3,762 students appeared Physics exam while 43 students did not turn up for the subject’s exam.
From Bhatkal Taluka, a total of 1,755 students appeared for the examination while 41 students from the Taluka remained absent. About 1186 students wrote economics papers from the Taluka while 34 students were absent and 569 students from the Taluka wrote Physics paper while 11 students were absent.
From Karwar about 1,611 students appeared for the exam while 68 remained absent. Ankola recorded a total of 1,026 students while 16 students remained absent. About 1,612 students from Kumta Taluka appeared for exam while 31 remained absent. 1,201 student from Honnavar Taluka appeared for exam while 28 students remained absent. 297 students from Joida Taluka appeared for exam while 17 students remained absent.
1,462 students from Haliyal Taluka appeared for exam while 60 remained absent. 617 students from Yellapur appeared for exam while 18 students remained absent. 563 students from Mundgod Taluka appeared for exam while 32 remained absent. 2,602 students from Sirsi Taluka appeared for exam while 43 remained absent. 782 students from Siddapur appeared for exam while 16 students remained absent.
Students who attempted the economics and physics exams gave a mixed response on how the exams were. Most of the students felt that the economics exam was easy while those who faced the physics exams found it difficult.
A 200 meters prohibitory order has been issued in and around the examination centers. CCTV cameras have been fitted in each class rooms. Xerox shops near by the examination centers have been asked to remain till the exams for the day ends.
Sources informed that, Free transport service has been provided by KSRTC buses for students attempting PUC exams. The students need only show their hall tickets for the free service.
