12 Dubai private schools rated ‘outstanding’

Dubai: Eight private schools in Dubai have shown overall improvement, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) report for the academic year 2013-14 showed.
Out of the 141 schools inspected, 12 were rated outstanding, 57 rated good, 34 rated acceptable and eight rated unsatisfactory. Overall, eight schools have improved their ratings.
They include Greenfield Community School, JSS international School, Dar Al Marefa School, Dubai Police Kindergarten-Deira branch, Shaikh Rashid Bin Saeed Islamic Institute, Star International School, Grammar School and English Language Private School.
More than 89 per cent of the student population attend 158 private schools in Dubai, which offer a choice of 15 different curricula. Last year, student enrolment increased by eight per cent, with 243,715 students now attend private schools in the emirate.
