106 illegals caught in Satwa crackdown

Dubai:A total of 106 violators of residency law have recently been arrested, following a surprise inspection launched by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, Dubai, in Satwa neighbourhood.
“Pursuant to the instructions of the Director-General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs to launch periodic and surprise inspection campaigns, a task team of the Search and Investigation Division conducted raids after receiving information that a number of illegals are living in different places in Satwa,” Lieutenant Colonel Khalaf Al Ghaith, Assistant Director-General for the follow-up of law violators and foreigners sector at the directorate said.
Lt. Col. Al Ghaith appealed to the public that any person who has information on absconding workers or violators of residency laws, or those who work with other than their lawful sponsors, to immediately call 8005111 .
Director-General of the General Directorate of Residency and foreigners Affairs lauded the efforts made by the search and investigation division for launching the crackdowns and apprehend the law offenders.
