1 killed while crossing track near Bhatkal railway station

Bhatkal - 16 Feb 2011: One person killed on the spot while crossing the track near Bhatkal Railway Staion. According to the sources the accident took place today morning at around 8:30 am when Delhi bound Rajdhani Express in its full speed knocked down a man who was crossing the railway track. The deceased has been identified as Nagappa Mnaju Naik (55), an auto rickshaw driver. The Railway police and Bhatkal Rural PSI Mr Timmappa Naik visited the spot and sent the dead body to Govt Hospital. The body was later handed over to the relatives after post-mortem. A case has been registered in the Bhatkal rural police station.
