1 died 4 injured in a road accident near Shirali

Bhatkal - 15 July 2012: 1 person died while 4 injured in a fatal road accident that occurred here at National highway near Shirali. The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Ibrahim s/o Shahul Hameed Shaikh (28) from Tattihakkal, Shirali.

According to the sources, the incident took place early morning at 6:30 am when the Maruti Omni car in which 5 persons belonging to the same family were returning home after celebrating a family get-together in Honnavar lost control of their vehicle as a result of tyre burst and rammed into a roadside tree.

The injured Aejaz, Sayeed, Arafat, and Noorul Ameen were taken to Bhatkal Govt Hospital and later shifted to private hospital in Kundapur.

A case has been registered at Bhatkal rural police station and the investigation is going on.
