Managed by Bhatkal's Maawiya Mohtisham, Karnataka football team enters semi-finals of Swami Vivekananda Men's U-20 National Championship

Bhatkal: The Karnataka state football team has secured a spot in the semi-finals of the Swami Vivekananda Men's U-20 National Championship, organized by the All India Football Federation. This achievement came after a thrilling victory over West Bengal in the quarter-finals.

The matches took place at the Narainpur, Chattisgarh Ramakrishna Mission Football Academy. Guiding the Karnataka team to success is team manager Maawiya Mohtisham, hailing from Bhatkal, along with coach Irudaya Raj from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Bangalore.

 

With four consecutive wins under their belt, Karnataka became the first team to advance to the semi-finals. The tournament holds significant importance as it serves as a platform for the selection of the Indian national U-21 team for prestigious events like the Asian Games and the AFC Cup.
