Yunus Kazia, Ameen Moshin discuss innovation hub collaboration at CIIC

Chennai:  29 December 2024 (Bhatkallys News Bureau) The Crescent Innovation and Incubation Council (CIIC) hosted a strategic meeting with Yunus Kazia, Chairperson of Imam Abdul Rahman Bin Faisal University, Dammam, Saudi Arabia, and Ameen Moshin, Trustee of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen, Bhatkal, to explore collaboration on creating an Innovation Hub in Saudi Arabia.  

The discussion focused on fostering cross-border cooperation in research, technological advancements, and innovation practices to drive economic growth and sustainable development. CIIC outlined its expertise in establishing innovation ecosystems, highlighting its plans to assist in the development of a structured hub that aligns with Saudi Arabia's vision for technological progress.  

During the visit, both sides exchanged insights on areas such as collaborative research, startup mentorship, funding models, and best practices in innovation. The proposal also includes knowledge-sharing initiatives to enhance research capabilities at Imam Abdul Rahman Bin Faisal University, focusing on emerging technologies and industrial trends.  

The meeting emphasized the potential impact of the partnership in bridging India and Saudi Arabia through shared innovation, enabling startups, and promoting economic prosperity. CIIC’s Registrar and team participated actively in the discussions, which concluded with plans for a feasibility study, drafting a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), and developing a roadmap for the hub’s establishment.  

This initiative is seen as a step forward in strengthening ties between the two countries, fostering entrepreneurship, and creating a global platform for technological excellence and sustainable development.
