Temperatures in Bhatkal finally dropping as Coastal Karnataka heads for winter season; Final strokes of rain expected in early November

Bhatkal 29 October 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) After intensely heated summer, temperatures in Bhatkal have finally been seen dropping over the last couple of days especially during nights, as the coastal region is set to enter the winter season. However, a week full of thundershowers have been predicted in the Bhatkal region in the second week of November before the region braces for full-fledged winter as temperatures are expected to drop continuously. Last couple of months, and more specifically last 15 days had reported over 32 degree temperatures minimum during day, while it loomed around 28-30 degree during nights, the next couple of weeks are expected to be cooler and a highest temperature expected to be 35 while a lows of 24 is also expected in the in the second week of November. "The temperatures is the coastal belt has been dropping for last few days and are expected to further go down. At few places in the region early morning fog has also been reported while breeze till afternoon has been regular for last one week now" a official from the weather forecast department told Bhatkallys.com "The rainfall predicted from November 2 -November 11 is expected to further hamper the rising temperatures and one a expect winter to arrive completely by November 20" he further added. The news comes as a relief for the locals who have been battling the heat for quite some time. Interestingly the temperatures in Coastal Karnataka have reported unprecedented rise in last few years, a fact majorly credited to the cutting down of trees for NH 66 widening.
