Raida at Tobacco selling shops in Bhatkal by special unit, 13 shops fined

Bhatkal 22 September 2019: Under the National Tobacco Control Program, Taluka Tobacco Control Unit raided several shops of Bhatkal Taluka and issued Penalties to 13 shops here. Speaking on the occasion, Health Officer Dr. Murthi Bhat said, "Sale of Tobacco is yet not banned, but there is restrictions in the limit for selling it to the public. Whoever violates the law will have to face penalties" TMC Health Officials Sujiya Suman, ASI Somraj Rathod, Bhatkal BEO MR Munji, District Tobacco Control official Premkumar and others were present.
