Peace meet in Bhatkal ahead of Eid celebrations

Bhatkal - A peace meet was held at IB office to maintain law and order in Bhatkal during the upcoming Eid celebrations. People from different communities attended the peace meet hosted by Bhatkal Police and assured their support to local authorities.
Assistant Commissioner M.N. Manjunath, while addressing the meet requested all community leaders to maintain peace and harmony. He reminded community leaders of good practices followed during the earlier Ter Habba celebrations and appreciated the role of general public.
"We are confident that the Eid festivities will continue peacefully and we call on people to celebrate our diversity with peace and happiness," he added.
He issued the orders to all government department including Municipality, Health Department, Department of fire and others to support people of Bhatkal. He also extended Ramadan and Eid greetings to the Muslim community.
