Parents showcase talent and abilities on 'Parents day' organised by Anjuman as a part of pre-centenary celebrations

Bhatkal 4 December 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen Bhatkal's Anjuman Girls High School (Basti road) and Anjuman Girls English Medium High School (Nawayath colony) organised parents' day as a part of its pre-centenary celebrations of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen Bhatkal, here at Anjuman girls high school campus on Basti road.
Several events and competitions marked the day full talent show spree of the parents of the students studying in both the schools.
Mrs. Qamrunnisa Muniri, was invited as the chief guest of the event, while Mrs. Farhat Akrami, teacher Jamiat-us-Salihat, Mrs. Farhat Kazia, former teacher at Shams English Medium School and Mrs. Najma Nigar Batin played out the role of judges for the competitions organised during the day-long event.
Qamrunnisa Muniri, during her address, congratulated on completing 100 years of rendering educational services to the community and setting the benchmark to be followed by other educational institutions of Bhatkal and adjoining towns.
She further added that such platforms for the parents to showcase their talents will go a long way in bringing out the best in them in future which will also pave way for better upbringing of the pupils.
Competitions like Islamic Tarana competition, Nawaity songs competition, pick and speak, pictorial description and one minute shows were organised and prizes were distributed among winners of the competition.
Fatima Misada Ismail Gawai, and Naila shared first place in Islamic Tarana competition, Aysha Afreen Hanif Shabab and Anisa Hashim Khan shared the second place in the competition while Afra Zahir Akrami secured third place.
Rafath Karimi, Shakeela Sada, and Umme Ayman Damudi bagged first second and third place respectively in Nawaity song competition.
Hashmath Banu Hassan Siddibapa, bagged first place followed by Mumtaz Hassan Siddibapa and Azeema Muallim at second and third place respectively in pick and speak event.
Farha S.M won pictorial description event while Umme Ayman Damudi won Musical chair as several other parents won prizes in various one-minute show events.
The event began with recitation of holy Quran, followed by Hamd, Naat and Tarana-e-Anjuman.
Event convenor Mrs. Seema Kashimji along with other members of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen's Ladies Advisory Committee was present during the event.
