One Seriously Injured in a road Accident near 'Accident Hot Spot' Nawayath colony

Bhatkallys News Service/ Rizwan Gangavali Bhatkal 04 Sept 2016: A school going student was seriously injured when an Passenger tempo rammed over his cycle on Nawayath Colony NH66 Near Anfal supermarket. The boy was said to be waiting to cross over the road when the tempo driver lost his control over the vehicle and ran over the cycle of the boy, causing serious injuries to the boy. The locals present at the spot were quick to come together and sent the boy for Medical treatment. There is a rage in local public as authorities have failed to take precautionary measures despite the spot being a accident prone zone, causing deaths and injuries to several locals over the years. But no authority has turned their eyes towards this spot. Locals claim that a 4 way cross on the spot makes it very dangerous, especially for pedestrians and two wheelers trying to cross the road, people are in favor of installing traffic gates to block the speeding vehicles making them to slow down vehicle, if authorities cannot mark speed-breakers on the spot. People are also expecting Rabita society’s Road Safety drive project to give this spot special attention and urge the authorities to co-work with public to make this spot a safe spot for drivers and pedestrians.
