Madina Welfare Society holds Isteqbal-e-Ramadan program

6th July 2013 / Rizwan Ganguly / Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: Isteqbal-e-Ramadan and award distribution function was organized by Madina Welfare Society after Isha Salaah at Madina Masjid. On this occasion, Maulana Mohammed Shafi Malpa Qasmi, addressing the audience as the Cheif Guest of the function said that Ramadan has a close association with Qur'an and we should recite Qur'an as much as possible in this blessed month. Honourable Maulana stressed the importance of reading Quran with understanding and expressed grief over the fact that in the present world English language is given lot of importance and the one who does not know Qur'an and religious science is never denounced but in reality Arabic is far old and superior language. Muslims should try to learn, and speak the Arabic language as it's the language in which Quran was revealed. Maulana further said that Taraveeh prayers in Ramadan have great significance but instead of offering the prayers we roam in the markets and miss a golden opportunity of earning such a mighty reward. Another guest, Maulana Talha Ruknuddin Nadvi emphasize the importance of education and mentioned that in the present world only the educated are respected and illiterates are treated with low esteem. In the end, Maulana praised the efforts of Madina Welfare Society in rewarding students thereby raising their spirits. On this occasion, Madina Welfare Society President Maulana Mohammed Irfan S M Nadvi and other people were present.
