Kumta: Two of the five students on their summer vacation dies of drowning

Bhatkallys News Bureau Kumta 11 May 2017: Two of the five students who had come here on a picnic to Kumta beach from Haliyal died after drowning while the other three were rescued eventually by the locals on the tragic evening of Wednesday. The deceased have been identified as Prajwal (18) and Francis Braganza (19), as per the sources the five students were into the waters for some swimming when the waves took over them to take away two of their friends with it. Rescue teams rushed to the spot as soon as the report started making the rounds and a search operation for both the students was underway. As per the latest update the body of Prajwal was recovered from the sea on Thursday morning while the body of the second is still being looked for.
