JD(S) ready to take on BJP, Cong.: Gowda

JD(S) national president H.D. Deve Gowda has said that his party was prepared to take on both the national parties — Congress and BJP — no matter whoever came to campaign for them. “We have the strength and confidence to face both the parties. We are not bothered about either Amit Shah or Rahul Gandhi. Let them come here and campaign ... we know how to build the party,” he said in response to a question by presspersons at Mavinakere Ranganatha Swamy Temple near here on Saturday. “I have faith in God and I am sure he will give me the strength to do good for the people. I have prayed to the God to bless me with the strength to face the national parties. I will go before the people and seek their blessings too”, he said. He was in the temple to offer special prayers along with his family. “Some people are commenting that the JD(S) can win only a few seats. I will not like to react to them. We will field our candidates in all the 224 constituencies and show our strength,” he said.
