Bhatkal Minority Officer Shamsuddin, visits Bhatkallys.com office; explains action plan for the year

Bhatkal 25 October 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Bhatkal Minority Officer Shamsuddin Shaikh on Wednesday visited Bhatkallys.com office and share his ideas while speaking on wide range of issues pertaining to the minorities of the state including educational backwardness. Adding that the minorities in the state and country are being suppressed by other communities due to its educational backwardness, Shamsuddin said, "The minorities have to up the ante in the education sector if they have to see themselves developing". He also handed-over a number of books and hand-books of the Karnataka Directorate of Minorities and Department of Minority Welfare, wherein action plans for the year of 2018-19 have been noted down including a number of schemes and opportunities for the minority students. "We have also planned construction of a Moulana Azad Minority school in Bhatkal which will enable the minority students to get quality education without spending a single rupee. In Minority schools students get all the school accessories including pens and pencils free of cost from the Minority department and the quality of education also excels better than private schools" "We are expecting this school to start functioning from next academic year and initially it will start operations from any of the government school campus followed by construction of a full-fledged campus building" Shamsuddin said. "There are hundreds of schemes and scholarships for the minority students which have been brought in for their upliftment". "Minority communities should use all these schemes and benefit from it, that is the only way to come up in the society" he added. He also added that he is working towards establishing Minority Girls' Hostel in Bhatkal for which he will need at least 15-20 students/ working women applicants who will be willing to accommodate the hostel.
