Bhatkal: Construction laborers association submits memorandum to Assistant commissioner

Bhatkal 30 September 2018:(Bhatkallys News Bureau) Association of state’s building constructors and quarry laborers of Bhatkal unit (incorporated by the AITUC) submitted a Memorandum to the Assistant Commissioner of Bhatkal urging him to fulfill various demands of the laborers here at AC office on Monday 29 Oct. The Memorandum urged that the problems of the construction laborers have been increasing day in and day out. So, in case of any untoward incident, the labor compensation has to be increased to Rs.10 lac, the pension amount has to be hiked to Rs. 3000 per month, the Medical allowances has to be increased to Rs. 5 lac and must be extended to family also, allowance for the marriage of laborers has also to be provided, ESI and Provident Fund schemes need to be extended to labors and a permanent inspector has to be appointed for every Taluka. Assistant Commissioner Sajjid Mulla accepted the memorandum at his office and assured them of working towards appropriate solution for the laborers. District Secretary of the Association GS Revanna, Ragavendra Shetty and others were present while submitting the memorandum. (Bhatkallys News Bureau/Rizwan Gangavalli)
