Bhatkal: BIFA (B) triumphs at the BIFA state level football tournament

Bhatkallys News Service/ Rizwan Gangavali Bhatkal 23 April 2017: Bhatkal Inter Football Association’s (BIFA) state level football tournament came to an close today with an Nail-biting final which saw BIFA (B) side emerging winners against their own senior lads BIFA (B) with the score line reading 2-0 in the final. The winners were awarded a cash prize of 33,333/- and a trophy, while the runner up side bagged a cash prize of 15000/- and a trophy. Few other players also bagged awards for their individual performance throughout the tournament. MLA Mankal Vaidya, who was also present at the closing ceremony, was all praise for BIFA for organizing the state level tournament in the town, and congratulated the association for the success of the tournament. He further appealed other sports club to take active participation in football and contribute to the growth of the sport in the town. Moulana Ansar Madani also congratulated the participating and the winning teams, and also spoke about the importance of fitness in Islam and urged the youth to take part in Fitness oriented sports. Abdul Sami Madikal, Nazeer Shingeri, and other were present at the closing event.
