Anjuman engineering alumni meet held at New Delhi

New Delhi, December 26 ( Bhatkallys News Service): Alumni of Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management, Bhatkal (formerly, Anjuman Engineering College) gathered in strength and took a walk down memory lane at a meet held here last week.
About 70 alumni members along with their families converged at the meet demonstrating a feeling of camaraderie. These old students had come from all over the world like USA, Australia, Nigeria, and different parts of India like Himachal Pradesh, UP, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, West Bengal.
Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen also made their presence felt at the meet. Anjuman's President Abdul Rahim Jukaku; Additional General Secretary Ishaque Shabandri; Principal AITM Dr. Mushtaque Bhavikatti; and Dr. Anil Shastri, Professor of Mechanical Engineering and coordinator AITM Alumni participated in the Alumni Meet at Delhi held from December 22-24.
Addressing the gathering Abdul Rahim Jukaku asserted that the Alumni are the best brand ambassadors and their regular contact through such meet provides old students to know about each other and revive old memories. The Principal praised the alumni for maintaining the connection with its alma mater.
All the Alumni, many of whom who are well placed in jobs and a big chunk who are successful businessmen, remembered Anjuman and reminisced their college days at AEC and Bhatkal Town and were all praise for the Management of Anjuman for providing them with good education. They had a special word of appreciation for Bhatkal and its people who treated them well during their stay at Bhatkal.
The Anjuman delegation discussed following ways and means by which the Alumni can support Anjuman :
1. Promoting AITM for Admission.
2. Helping AITM for Placements.
3. Helping AITM in getting good faculty.
4. Supporting AITM students in providing scholarships and freeships.
5. Visiting AITM and interacting with the students.
The earlier promised support of the Alumni in building a fully equipped modern canteen was also discussed. The Anjuman delegation invited the alumni members to visit AITM and it was agreed they will consider holding in future Alumni Meet in Goa and make it a point to spend one day in Bhatkal and visit the AITM.
