A two days workshop on robotic held at Anjuman

Bhatkal - A two-day workshop on Robotics was organized at Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management, Bhatkal on 18th and 19th April 2017. The workshop was organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with Entrepreneurship Cell of IIT Kharagpur. 52 students participated in the workshop. The workshop was aimed to help the students build their own robotics projects. The participants were provided with microcontroller kits and were trained to develop projects from scratch. The majority of the time in the course was spent on hands-on activities.
Addressing the gathering during the inaugural session, Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed Bhavikatti, Principal congratulated the Department for coming up with the workshop and encouraged the students. Prof. H. M. Phalachandra, Vice Principal and Dr. H. Udaya Prasanna, Director R&D inspired the students. A few students were felicitated for their special achievements in extracurricular activities. Prof. T. M. P. Rajkumar, Head of ECE Department welcomed the audience. Rabia Indikar presented the Vote of Thanks. Student Coordinator Avaiz Khan and Shibin Shabas hosted the session. Prof. Shrishail Bhat coordinated the event.
Following the inaugural session, the trainer Mr. Anshul Kumar gave hands-on experience to the participants. Kits were provided and the students designed their own robotics projects like line follower robot, obstacle avoider robot, edge detector robot, mobile controlled robot, etc. Participation certificates were provided to all the participants. A contest was held at the end of the workshop and the top three teams were selected for the National Level Championship organized by IIT Kharagpur.
